With a guitar sitting on her lap, Elizabeth Turner let her eyes wander around the tower where she was sitting. There wasn't much to see at the angle she was at, sitting on the cold and dirty floor outside, but there was the night sky and the stars. Looking up, she let herself pull her sweater closer to her. It was insanely cold for the middle of winter, that was for sure. Sighing, she closed her eyes, strumming her guitar, but she didn't open her mouth to sing like she usually did. The words and melody came together in her head and that was enough.
Feeling the weight of someone's eyes on her, Beth stopped strumming her guitar, listening to the silence until a voice spoke.

George stood in the doorway with his eyes closed, listening to the guitar. When she stopped, he opened his eyes and looked at the girl. He hadn't seen her anywhere around Hogwarts before. "Your pretty good." George said, looking at the guitar with curiosity. "How does it make that noise?"

Looking up, Beth noticed a red haired boy standing in the doorway and smiled lighty, nodding her thanks.
"You don't know?" she asked with slight surprise. Trying her best not to sound too much like a know-it-all... one of the traits that tended to annoy people, she motioned for him to come closer.
"You see the strings and how their placed? When the vibrate in the hallow it causes sound waves." With that she strum the guitar again. "Depending on where you hold the strings down and which ones you hold down, you can change the pitch." She strum again, playing another cord this time and looking up at the boy.

Elizabeth smirked, trying her best not to roll her eyes. "From a pureblood family then, no doubt?" she stated more than asked. With a small shake of her head, she sighed, looking up and bitting her lip, "Oh jeeze, how long have I played." she thought out loud. After a moment or so, she finnaly looked back to the boy, with a shrug. "Since I was about ten, so six years."
